Dhukhr helps you plan your spending from one payday to the next. Your financial data is a red line: we do not see it, we do not sell it, and there are no ads or tracking tools.
What the app reads, and where it goes
- Bank SMS: if you allow it, the app reads messages only from the banks you choose and extracts the amount, merchant and balance. This happens on your phone, and the messages never leave it.
- Your plan, transactions and goals: stored on your phone, encrypted with a key kept on your phone.
- Account (optional): if you sign in with Google, we store your email, your Google account ID, the sign-up date and your subscription status. We never see your Google password or anything else in your account.
- Backup (optional): encrypted on your phone (AES-256) with a passcode you choose before it reaches our server. We store it encrypted, cannot open it, and cannot recover the passcode if you forget it. You can also copy a text backup and keep it wherever you like.
- Telegram (optional): if you link it, alerts are sent to your account through a bot you create.
Subscription and payments
Dhukhr Pro is free for the first 3 months after download, then you can subscribe. Payment happens on the Thawani checkout page and your card details never reach us. We keep the transaction reference, amount, plan and your account email so we can activate your subscription and help you.
Offers and discounts
The app downloads the list of offers from this website and sends nothing about you. Matching your purchases with stores that have discounts happens on your phone. When you show a QR to a cashier, it contains only the offer number and random characters, never your name, number or spending. The cashier records the bill amount so we can calculate our commission from the store.
Some offers come from affiliate networks (such as DCM and Admitad). When you open a store link from them, the store and the network know the visit came from Dhukhr, under their own policies.
Permissions
- Read and receive SMS: so transactions are added automatically from bank messages.
- Notifications: to warn you when you get close to your budget limits.
- Internet: for offers, for backups and subscriptions if you turn them on, and for Telegram if you link it.
Deleting your data
- Your account and backup: in the app go to Settings → Your account → Delete account. They are removed from our server immediately. Payment records are kept for accounting without your email.
- Data on your phone: Settings → Erase all data, or uninstall the app.
