Common questions
Is Dhukhr free?
Yes. Tracking, budgets, the widget and offers are always free. Every new download gets Dhukhr Pro free for 3 months, then you can subscribe if you like.
What is in Dhukhr Pro?
Cycle reports, cash envelopes, goals with expected dates, and automatic encrypted backups. Monthly or yearly, paid through Thawani.
Do I need to link my bank account?
No. It never asks for an account number or a password. It only reads the bank SMS that reach your phone.
Where is my data stored?
On your phone, encrypted. If you turn on backups, they leave encrypted with a passcode you choose, and nobody else can open them.
What if I forget my backup passcode?
We cannot recover it because we never know it. The data on your phone stays, and you can start a new backup with a new passcode.
Which banks does it understand?
It is built around bank SMS in Oman in Omani Rial and gets better with every update. If a message is not read correctly, you can add the transaction yourself in seconds.
Is there an iPhone version?
Android only for now, because reading bank SMS is possible on Android.
My phone says the app is from an unknown source
That is because you download it from our website. Android asks you once to allow your browser to install apps, and after that Dhukhr tells you when there is an update.
